Guurrbi Tours sends good wishes to Ron Veivers, a 63 year-old Cairns man who, 25 years ago in his local pub, made the rash statement that if the road to Cooktown was ever sealed, then he'd walk the length of it. Today Ron sets off from Kuranda with 10 other walkers, all over 60, to fulfil his promise. Guurrbi is supporting Ron in his Charity Walk - and Cooktown is looking forward to giving him a rousing welcome during our Discovery Festival in a couple of weeks time.
